Given the nature of the game, rulers will undoubtedly have unknown players living, and being born to NPC families in their towns, and cities.
How do you think rulers will try to manage the players living in their lands, and do you think rulers should be given an option to lock their NPC citizens from being eligible parents for new souls coming into the game?
What is your view on the ability of Kings and Dukes to not only be the ruler of the kingdom or duchy, but also of a duchy (in the kings case), county, and city/fortress?
One side says that this is an abuse of power since the King and Duke would own all the land beneath them anyway so why make it so they can have more titles?
The other says that this is Elyria, and based on Game mechanics one is able to be duke, count, and lord all at once. Because of this, it is okay.
I'm sorry if none of this makes any sense XD
Due to Cyneric going and getting himself a big boy job we will be moving the Town Crier to Tuesday, same time, for the foreseeable future.
Will there be any means besides taxes to raise money for the army or expanding our territory or to have saved money in case a war or disease or anything harmful plagues the land, such as a coliseum or a casino like place for gambling.
The Shadow
As a Baron level backer I'm torn between going the Mayor or Baron route. On the surface it currently appears that Mayor would have more autonomy and we know that military assets can be placed in a town. The mechanisms related to paying taxes versus receiving financial support to aid in military endeavors are also a little murky to me. Could you outline the advantages/disadvantages of one role versus the other and how they relate to game play style?
On a side note, the first episode of Town Crier is what finally convinced me to jump in as backer. Hopefully now that Cyneric has a big boy job he can get that smoke alarm situation sorted.

That's fantastic to hear! Welcome to the community.
Remember, Episode Two is tomorrow at 4PM EST!
Topics of the day will be both this week and last weeks updates. We will also be talking about Zergs and their place in CoE, as well as answering a few questions from the forums.
Do you forsee the people who currently hold positions within their communities being replaced when we put "boots on the ground" at launch. Do you think that there is a dichotomy between people who make good leaders at this point in the games lifetime, and those who would make good leaders when the game drops, and the situation becomes more stressful with thousands of players being thrown in. I speak more of kings/duchies/counties council positions not necessarily those who bought titles.
Do you see the potential for a future "mega alliance" creating itself on the server essentially locking out the ability of any potential aggressor to progress? If not, what ways would you say that this group could get a foothold, and potentially stand a fighting chance against such a large coalition of communities(generally speaking).
Thoughts on future animals of Elyria? What would all three of the hosts like to see?
P.S. Gorther, half Gorilla, half Panther.

Remember, if you liked what you saw with The Town Crier, make sure to post it to your community, be that a kingdom Discord or a guild forum or whatever! One of the most difficult things to do is get eyes on content without being a pushy spammer. You can help with that! :D
