that's a good question, there is no information about at the moment but they're going to use Unreal4, it can be a clue about what we'll need.

It has been stated that if you can play ARK: Survival Evolved now... you can play COE at launch.

Also this will probably be optimised unlike Ark,so it should mean if you can manage low on ark,you should be able to run the game without any issues on low, same for med high etc

So if my pc runs ARK good, it'll run this better? And can we have some proof, cuz if you guys got it wrong and we upgrade our pc to be good for ark and then CoE doesnt work... well then sir that's a problem.

There is no proof currently TheBlackGriffin because there is no completed game and these things could well change. However, it is a comparison the Developers have made several times in the past when asked this question. So take it is an indication not a guarantee.

If you are concerned about what upgrades you will require may I recommend putting money aside each month until we get closer to launch and the actual system requirements are released.

honestly its all about video cards, if you upgrade your pc to play ark well or any current games you should be able to play CoE,

I would at least have an Intelcore I5 (Or something with similar GHz) with an nvidia graphics card(no number because Im just estimating) and at least 4 RAM (preferably 8). As I said its just an estimation and I am not putting model numbers and such for that reason. I am posting this as to help people have at least a general guideline to be able to play a game like this without many problems or, none at all depending on alpha, beta testing and expedition.

I just upgraded my system from an HD 7700 to a 1050 TI for $140 bucks..Without knowing the true requirements, Id say as stated above just pocket a little money each month for upgrades as you see fit. Prices for components have bottomed out in the last few years, for under $500 you can build a rig that will r un anything out there, just maybe not at max detail. Just as a simple example and not quoted. Bare bones kit $250 GPU 150 16g ram $50 SSD (120G) $50

just as an easy example.

Just because they say it's playable doesn't mean you'll be able to run it smoothly.

I'd suggest dishing out 1.1k for a PC that'll play most of the upcoming games that'll be out for the next 3 years

  • Get an I5/I7

  • Get anything similar to a 780 TI/980 TI (I'd personally get the upcoming 1080 Ti, but that is might be out of budget for most)

  • Do not, under any circumstances get 8 GB of RAM only, it's only gonna set you back later on, everyone uses more than 8 RAM, and upgrades to 12 or 16 are cheap

This should run you around 1.1k-1.2k if you include the mobo, PSU, and everything else needed to start a PC

I have a 940m with i5 8gb of ram will i be able to run the game?

I wouldn't recommend i5 to anyone, gaming or no gaming, we have some computers at work with i5 and i7 and I can FEEL the difference. So for me, the performance of i7 way outweighs the cost
