House Eriksson

Greetings! I am Count Tonan of house Eriksson (or I will be soon) and Skadia is my county! Currently the county of Skadia have joined the kingdom of Tryggr. I'm creating this page for those who share my ideas or who might want to settle in my county for what ever reason and want to know more.

House Eriksson lives by the words Loyalty, Justice and Honor. I feel that especial if your going to play a noble you need to have a good sense of those 3 words to be a good count to the people who settle in your county. So those are the things i will try to uphold to the best of my ability as a count.

I also firmly believe that trade is what makes a county strong so I will also try to make my county a hub of trade. Making all if not most professions available in some extent available in Skadia.

So in what way do i run my county you ask? Well I am a firm believer that everyone in a cummunity should help each other out and in this case i'm talking about taxes. Taxes is how you the citizen will help county and the kingdom and it's people grow.

So here are some harsh words but they need to be said. If you have bought a EP plot of land you are more than welcome in my county. But! you will pay taxes like everyone else and I will not take a no for an answer. I'm sorry but there will be no tax free establishments in Skadia.

Now that said.

Skadia is a simple county with a simple goal in mind and that is to make it as easy and painless for old and new players to start up their business. But special care will be given to those who would like to be blacksmiths as that will be the countys focus overall.

The special care will come in the form of a Guild known as Centurion group that specializes in Blacksmithing. This guild is owned and managed by Count Eriksson of Skadia so it will be possible for the guild to provide at expo and launch smithies for new or old Blacksmiths to manage if they so wish for free.

So what does the taxes you pay in Skadia provide?

Taxes:

Taxes will be collected by Tax Collector appointed by the head of House Eriksson. Taxes in my county will provide for such things as (WIP)

• Roads

• Guards

• maintenance

• public buildings

• Anti bandit ops

• General safety and security

Commercial

The main commercial focus of Skadia will be Blacksmithing and everything it can provide. The Blacksmithing aspect of the county will also be run by the Guild Centurion Group who will specialize in making Arms and Armor.

So at expo and launch there will be 5 smithies available to the public to manage if they chose. - Smithy 1 - Store manager =

But that does not mean Skadia will be limiting itself just to Blacksmithing it just means it will specialize in that area.

Anyone who would like tho start up a different profession will be able to come to the county seat and ask for help in starting a new business and if the business plan sounds fair and is needed help will be provided to minimize the toll on the player.

Land:

Currently I have no duchy but when land grab opens up I will pick land with access to the sea and mountains regardless of duchy. If i get my way it will mean that products can easily be transported by sea and the mountains will hopefully provide iron for the Blacksmiths.

If i do not get mountains i will focus on geting access to the sea if that is on an island or on the shore does not matter to me as access to the water is paramount to good trade.

So to sum it up I want my county to be a community filled with hard working and prospering people that strive to work together. I also want Skadia to be county were people can come and easily start their own business. I want Skadia to be a county of Opportunity for all and i will work tirelessly to make it so.

Here I have posted the jobs that I and the county will have a need for. Here you can sign up for a job so that at launch/exposition you will not need to go look for a job or buy equipment for that crafting profession. I will separate this part by categories.

• Head Guard Captain/Baron - Responsible for hiring guards to defend the towns and cities of the county. Also responsible for hiring guard captains of the cities and towns. Pay may be included if not Baron (Duke will pay otherwise) = Name:

• Ranger - Responsible for keeping the local wildlife in check, locating bandit's and reporting them to the County seat. Your jobb will also be to explore uncharted lands that may be in the county. = Name:
