If the number goes to 1280 from 1279, then I guess it is how many days the game has collected pledges from the store/kickstarter.

I thought that was a possibility, but I also saw that the Steam Greenlight page said "Release date: Q4 2017".

The timer is counting down. It is now at 1279 days 04:58:38.
That is why I said if it goes to 1280 days after the counter reaches zero. I did not notice this before so I have no idea if it is the timer going down and the days itself is going up. Or if both the timer and the days are going down.
It's something that our merchant is displaying that shows up from time to time for some folks. It has nothing to do with us, just a bug.
