I think 2 years is probably a better estimate..
This game was a dream.
Its dead now.
Ok cool. Is there anywhere where I can find a brief recap of like the last year or so's changes that we know of?

two years to what? the game will be 'released' much earlier if you consider expo and KoE.
Yeah probably two plus years until full release. If you are also looking to play the MuD/Voxel based engine tester thing maybe the end of this year? Also I would give a run-down of the changes. But information has been limited. The biggest changes is the release of tribes and the change of how the MuD will work. However thats just from the publics view. From what I hear the games progress has actually been really good. Just not a lot of information sees the light of day outside of the 10k+ club. Not to mention the game, In it's current state is ever-changing.
don't listen to anyone giving a date they have no idea.
all speculation at the moment........ waiting for State of Elyria after tribes are wrapped up. This should give us a better picture of what is going on with CoE.

Not sure why you think CoE will be released fairly soon. August will be next month, there has been close to zero information this year. No deadlines hit and the game is heavy in production. I am a big fan of CoE development but I don't see any form of Alpha for backers for quite some time. If they are trying hard to make a working version perhaps we can see a Alpha-1 sometime late next year...other than the game is a good 3 years away from something the community as a whole can play.

Not quite sure why December 2017 was mentioned in the Kickstarter...I guess every gaming developer out there tries to fall into scrutiny by throwing out random dates out there. We'll see what we get this December.

But before that year we will have elyriamudd, koe, land and domain selection, exposition. For me this is the game and if you are involved you are playing the game sooner.
