Weak to alcohol means they get drunk easy. What point is drinking it if you are resistant to it, like the Dras?

in GOT (Game of Thrones) in one of the latest episodes the Ginger bearded guy from Beyond the wall said that Alcohol is great for staying warm, and we can all believe that, after taking a drink of some strong stuff you warm up. So why is it that Brudvir have a weakness to alcohol? They should be like Dras, hard to get drunk. Just seems weird.
