Well Fitz I never played Renaissance Kingdoms, but I have played other RP, crafting games that have had player based political systems. One thing that is quite important is that the entirety of the politics are not player run there will be NPC's that could be in prominent positions especially at the start of CoE. I am thinking more Crusader Kings II when it comes to political scenarios, especially with the NPC's. If you plan on starting out with a lower pledge package I think the game would initially be more akin to The Guild 2 as you rise though the ranks of the gentry in the town to finally become the mayor while still juggling your business responsibilities. I am curious to hear your opinion what do you hope to bring from that experience and avoid or find in CoE?
