Our posts to those sections is on UTC, so often times the dates will be a day off due to the time we post and the time in UTC.

Additionally, we often get a post ready but keep it unpublished if there are changes or if it isn't quite ready to go live, and when that happens the date we originally submitted it is what is shown in the forums, versus the homepage would show the date we tell it to.

We'll have more consistency later once all of our site is converted into v3.
