OPC Rules for Family Members - Answered-Ish

Say we start as a child of a family of NPCs would we be able to use OPC scripts on them so that our family members can run shops, process materials or something similar? Preferably with some stipulations to avoid them becoming simple slaves or thralls.

On that note, there was mention of hiring NPCs for tasks, would we be able to pay them to run OPC scripts?

I checked through the forums and did not see this addressed, I'm currently catching up on DM21 so I apologize if it was already answered in one of the videos there.

Update: Per this Q&A at around the 50 minute mark, it is explained that NPCs are meant to be just as useful as OPCs. Ergo, while it may not use the same scripting utility, they will still be usable.

I don't believe we can script anything that doesn't have a spark of life in it. Good question though.

Scripting NPCS and related persons would be great. Can send the wife to tend the shop, while you make sure your child is studying his books and you are off adventuring!
