Do bloodline participate in DSS?

I'm still slightly confused by dev info on DSS journals. Deliver me from this state of confusion.

Only mayors and above participate in D&SS. Anyone that has a settlement/county/duchy/kingdom to select will get to do so during this event. The kingdoms have been chosen. We're still waiting on the world maps to pick the rest.

After the event, which runs a total of 4 weeks (in Elyria, this is actually 1 week + X months delay + 3 weeks :D), there is a dutch auction period in which anyone can participate, if they wish to purchase a mayor/count/duke title and select an available domain or settlement. Basically, picking from whatever remains.

Hopefully, you can now find salvation from your state of confusion through this nugget of enlightenment.

Not quite, current info is that you will need Expo access to participate in this and therefore a minimum of Bloodline.

Personally, I think there could also be a settlement selection phase after to allow Elyrian and above to pledge their backing to Mayors and up.

But this would effectively be character selection and I imagine a fair bit of work for the studio, especially if you want to allow people to change their minds.

On the positive side it could provide them with some useful metrics.

That's just the prerequisite for purchasing a mayor title. There are no restrictions on Gentry packages. They are still available in the store and anyone can purchase them.

The point of the auction is to open it up to everyone, but people still have to buy their way into the tiers progressively. Duke titles require count titles. Count titles require mayor titles. And mayor titles require bloodline.

Surely if the dutch style auction is for mayor/count/duke titles, then the minimum required level for the purchaser is bloodline.

Gentry packages are available in the reverse auction??

Gentry packages are not available in the reverse auction as you already have to have bloodline+ to participate. Just mayor, count, duke titles and 1 king title on selene. The titles are progressive so if say bloodline you would purchase an open mayor, if the count was open in the county you purchased the mayor title you could then buy it and so on.

The way it is currently explained is a bit confusing.

You need to have a bloodline package in order to participate in the Dutch Auction.

If there is a settlement that is unclaimed, you are able to buy the “title” for that location.

If the count “title” of that county that you purchased the mayor “title” in is unclaimed, you’re able to purchase up to that county “title”.

If the Duke “title” of that duchy that you purchased the county “title” in is unclaimed, you’re able to purchase up to that Duke “title”.

If the King “title” of that kingdom that you purchased the duchy “title” in is unclaimed, you’re able to purchase up to that King “title”.

You are NOT able to purchase a county that your mayor title is not in (this means the same for the other titles too count->Duke Duke->king). And you can not purchase an additional count title. You can only purchase upwards in titles and it has to be unclaimed in order to be purchased.
