Technology ideas to add into the game

I studies a little into early/midevil ancient Chinese and Asian weapons and culture and came across a weapon that most people might know about so I thought I'd post something about it.

This is an ancient Chinese weapon called a fire lance. Using gunpowder and other supplies they would essentially attach fireworks to long spears or pikes to make one of the world's earliest flamethrowers. This just seemed fitting to mention because it fits with the To'Resk in how their armors are eastern themed already.

I mean there are other weapons like the early rocket mortars they used against the Mongolian's. As well as arrow batteries called Hawachas

Many of us know about the weapons you mentioned. The reason they have not been discussed very much is because black powder is not supposed to be available at launch. The Kypiq have some kind of fireworks powder, but it's said to be too weak to power rockets or explode, and is used merely for lighting effects.

Kypiq powder might be used in firelances, because it would be shocking and distracting at first. Once the initial surprise wore off, opponents would know to expect it. Without being able to do any real damage (unlike black powder), its military effectiveness would probably not be worth the trouble of equipping it.

I mean in order to make black powder in its most natural form you need lime, a little sugar, coal, and other soft minerals that occur around geotheric vents and hotspirngs. meaning the technology may not exist but black powder can be invented very easily if you know what your looking for.

Submarines. Why not?

It is entirely possible that the ingredients for black powder in Elyria are not the same as they are in real life. I expect SBS to add some differences just to prevent people from using player knowledge inappropriately.

So, conceivably, in the Craghook area of Fortuna (Luna-NA), I could mix some naturally occurring sulfur, saltpeter, and charcoal inside of a bamboo analogous tube to fight off scary reptilian predators?

It's a possibility but if you make black powder and accidentally make any spart it's just guna detonate and take you with it. Black power and gunpowder killed alot of people who tried to make it until they got it right... and I mean alot of people
