How will CoE accomodate courtesy?

Say for example can we kneel and bow, salute etc...

I mean is that you press the shortcut and will your character do that animation?

When Zygethia was active on the universe project in official chat channels (webchat) we spoke in formalities such as kneeling, addressing by rank etc..

It makes it more immersive and fun :)

The salutes I useually get are rarely formal and never polite. I really dont understand why.

I really like annimated emotes in game, it can really bring a character to life. It can also make social interaction quick and easy to start. A quick '/wave' is often enough to start  conversation.

I also like emotes to have text. While Elder Scrolls Online has emotes there is no text linked to them so if someone is just out of your camera view you do not know they are trying to contact you. Realistic, sure. However, for the benefit of social interaction a text prompt is beneficial, though only on a small scale.

I also like the way Lord of the Rings Online managed the text prompt. You could '/wave' and you would get "Character waves" in chat or "Character waves at Target" if they currently have a mob, including player characters, selected. However, you could also write '/wave waves her hand regally as the passersby.' or '/wave waves her hand regally at ;target as she passes by.' that way you would still get the annimation but the text prompt would be modifed to what you had written including your targeted mob if desired.

There is nothing wrong with desiring power :)

Having ambition, and being able to achieve your ambition, is something that CoE wants to let people do.

Sounds precisely what I am thinking.

There is currently a list of 100 /emote commands - many of them will have animations before launch.

Now just out of curiosity is a slap one of them. like if the slap comes into contact with a player it makes there head turn. it will be used for example- if a guy says to a girl. "wanna get married and start a family" just in a much more dirty and inappriote way. could the girl slap him? cuz that would be funny asf

Slap was one of them... Dont remember if the head turned, but the slap was real XD

I hope they won't split emotes up between male and female emotes, because the more emotes the better, don't begin to put your restrictions on them.

That had never occurred to us. The list of emotes is available to both genders.
