Overview
Terenia is a sovereign land, consisting of several counties pledging their fealty to King Demiqas Liacan I. Having spent years under foreign rule, Terenia has proclaimed it's independence and is now looking to secure it's borders and become a respectable Kingdom in Elyria, where it's people can stand proud and live free.

About
The primary goal of our rule is to ensure an environment where groups and individual can thrive, all united under one banner. Where one can work hard and secure well being for him or his family. Where people are free to practice their faith, and know they will be safe within their own four walls. And most of all, we want to be a Kingdom that serves it's people well.
In order to succeed in our endeavors, there needs to be a system that ensures progress being made. The infrastructure of Terenia has therefore been divided into separate branches, all with their individual leaders who are looking to achieve the Kingdom's prosperity thought mutual respect and cooperation. Our main branches are:
Each sector of the kingdom will have their own guild that people can join as to provide the relevant bonus perks to all members
Military
Our military force, and the pride of the Kingdom. With the Commander in charge, our troops have their own hierarchy and are divided into special units. Their goal is to protect the Terenian small folk, especially in times of war or conflict.
Industrial
the section of the Kingdom that spends as much time as possible building and researching for Terenia to protect and advance the community via weaponry, armour, carpentry and all over developments that's possible.
Economics
This branch is the major contributor to Terenia's financial stability. They collaborate with diplomats and foreign realms to establish healthy trade agreements
Diplomats
The diplomatic branch are people who can deal with others in a sensitive and tactful way to assist keeping peace for Terenia
Terenia Intelligence Agency (TIA)
Provides Terenia officials with relevant information for keeping the community safe and peaceful, may have ties to the black market / underground for more intel. Combat expertise may be required.
The Terenian Council
The Terenian Council consist of the current ruling King, his Regent (in case one is appointed), and the heads of each individual branch of the kingdom. It was formed by Demiqas Liacan in order to fairly represent the electorate body (senate). The Terenian Council assists the King in making the laws of the land, as well as overseeing the governance of the realm. Part of that includes frequent activities such as inquiries, court hearings and council meetings.
Menn and womenn who respect the King's laws shall be treated fairly and as equals, and those who serve our cause will always be rewarded for their loyalty. All individual Lords that are part of Terenia rule over their lands as individuals, yet sworn fealty to King Liacan is required. The Terenian Senate is a deliberative assembly, formed to ensure that the principles our Kingdom is being built on are always secured. Everyone can be elected into senate and represent the people of Terenia, although the honors are most often given to members of the higher class. The senate has the power to provide an opposition to any legislation being passed, as well as influence on our main ruling body

History
History of Terenia, by Grenric Layne
The green lands of Terenia consist of several royal Counties and contain a vast and rich history. In the southern regions one will find boundless pastures of fertile land. Plans, hills, rivers and birch woods characterize the Midlands. Hamlets, villages and farmlands are a common sight for every traveler passing by on those roads. Roads who eventually lead to the Crown of Terenia - Tenarath, the capital city positioned on the southeastern coast. If one chooses to travel further to the northern mountain region of Terenia, they will find the farmlands make way to forests of tall pine and old oak. The villages and hamlets are smaller and farther apart, the hills higher and the valleys deeper.
In a lot of those valleys lie abandoned ruins, telling the tale of Teneria's past. A past that it's people hold all too dear, for they have seen Kingdoms rise and fall. They have endured through many bloodshed and tyrannic regimes. And in that fact they feel a sense of pride.
The first people who inhabited the area and gave it its name were living independently from other rulers, but as more people started calling themselves Kings - soon one of them laid claim to their lands. A noble house called Coshall had conquered the lands, with the help of a Azemar Romaria. When the Romaria family took over Terenia, they made it a duchy in the Kingdom of Zygethia - a newly established Kingdom by the Coshall dynasty. And it was for many years that Terenia remained part of Zygethia, under a firm and just rule.
Although the sack of Terenia was far less glamorous as the bard's tales will have it. Recorded history speaks of darker times, filled with senseless bloodshed and great poverty. The vast fields of Terenia were filled with graves, and the water from the rivers had a taste of corpse to it. After their lands have been claimed, the people were determined never to break the peace and prevent the further destruction of their own realm.
Sadly, the greatness of Zygethia's rulers varied through the generations. One of them, Zultra I of House Coshall, had brought the Kingdom crumbling down its knees and lead to its imminent downfall. With his reign causing the Kingdom to fall in great debt, the realm suffered and many of his own Lords turned against him. Even House Romaria. And it was once again, that turmoil fell upon Terenia and it's people. Most able men were forced to join the Romarian army and defend the sovereignty of the lands claimed by House Romaria, as other Lords wanted them for themselves. They were dark times to endure, but ultimately House Romaria prevailed and remained the rightful rulers of Terenia. That was, until the last known member of House Romaria - Arthos, the first of his name.
A bold and fierce youth of fifteen, Arthos took over the seat of the independent Kingdom after his parents had died too soon. The young Lord proclaimed himself Emperor, and raised a new banner - the banner of The Romarian Empire. Their goal was to conquer the remaining lands of the old Kingdom, and become the biggest known force in the known world. A great ambition, that brought the young Lord many great enemies. And with every year of him waging his war, Terenia was bleeding further away. All until his sudden disappearance, and the end of the Romarian dynasty.
Many a tale can still be heard to this day, about the vanishing of Arthos Romaria. How he boarded his biggest longship, in pursuit of an ancient relic. One that many believed never even existed. Still, Arthos ignored the council of his most trusted advisors, and soon enough he was never heard of again. Was it grief over his parents? Perchance a growing fear of his enemies, or simply pure madness? Arthos took the answer to those questions to the grave, and his actions were the ruin of House Romaria.
Arthos had appointed a man of unknown descent as his successor, the former head of Romarian Intelligence - Demiqas Liacan. But Liacan saw the error in the Emperor's ways, and disbanded The Romarian Empire, once and for all. Soon, birds flew and couriers raced to bear word of the Empire's demise. Terenia was a free land, and people loved Liacan for it. They began calling him a name that had not been heard in hundreds of years - King of Terenia.
And so ended both the reign of The Romarian Empire, and their war of conquest - the war that put an end to the old Kingdom's war torn past and ushered in a new golden era for Terenia under the auspices of House Liacan.
