Through the travail of ages, midst the pomp and toil of war have I fought and strove and perished countless times before So as through a glass, darkly, the age old strife I see - for I've fought in many guises, many names, but always me.

The transparency and openness about their mistakes or inaccurate predictions is one of the primary reasons I have faith in this studio. Not many companies have the backbone to flat out say "hey, we screwed something up. We know what went wrong and we're not going to let it go unfixed." Most of the time, it's some PR spin filled with buzzwords and "positive reinforcement" or some crap. SBS just goes "Crap. That was our fault. Sorry about that; we're on it right now."
I can't describe how refreshing it is for a company to just man up and face the music like that. It inspires respect.
Agreed. It's a pity more studios don't try this approach - they're understandably afraid of the community backlash, but a general rule of thumb is that if you start out treating your consumers as people, they're going to (for the most part) do the same. Treat your customers as numbers, or as consumers to be baited and placated, and they're going to return that disrespect and reification tenfold. Trion/XLG, as Antelino's pointed out just above, is a great example of the latter.
The delay of the expo store is yet another reassuring move on SbS's part, showing they consider and care primarily about quality over time or profit. A less scrupulous producer might simply plough ahead with staged releases, knowing that customers will both dislike having been tricked into spending their EP early and still, in many cases, opt to spend when the later tiers come out because they want the stuff. Presenting the shop late but with open access to all purchaseables is the right choice.
Loving the look of the elk model - it's not different like the previous creature showcases, but then, not everything has to be. And that is a lovely looking animal.
On the topic of animals, though... I feel that phoenixes are something of a mixed blessing, and I'm sure this is circulating in amongst you at the studio as well: Having reached this stretch goal, there's likely going to be noticeably less interest in other pet choices. The choices are all interesting/appealling in their own right, but the phoenix has powerful novelty value and a unique and irreplaceably appealling utility: immortality. Is this an issue? It doesn't break anything, but it does mean there will be quite a lot of phoenixes floating around come expo/launch time.
Last of all: I doubt I'll get an answer here, but like everyone else with an interest in pets/other animals in the came, I am rabidly curious: will phoenixes be able to breed? Non-breedable immortal birds makes more sense than breedable, but a high mortality rate amongst infants or extremely rare/uncommon breed rate/long maturation and vulnerability to the elements or other environmental influences might serve to balance them out otherwise.
To touch Divinity, one must be prepared to brave Reality.
I have to admit as a player who wants to be an adventurer I am considering changing my playstyle. I just have a weakness for lizards and in general all of the pets are simply breathtaking. I can see that each pet will be suited for different character.
That brings up a question (that is probably already answered elsewhere)
How hard is it for pet to die ? unconscious state ? Can all of these pets live in all biomes or do they have snow/desert/tropical variation?
How capable is the AI that will control the pet or how much of a control do you have?
What if I want to start as a ward?
We do indeed have a Biome page on the wiki, and we have some discrepancies with previous lists. Can you clarify if any of the following will exist?
Thanks!

Yep, those all exist also. :) Apparently Souzou and I found different lists. We will consolidate.
Vye said, "The result is that the team has decided, and I support them, to delay the Exposition Store until we feel confident that you all would be confident in spending your EP. We don't know what we don't know, therefore we don't yet have an expected date for when it will be released."
While I am disappointed in this I feel it is the right decision. I have been looking forward to all we could buy from the KS. So this is sad to hear. However, Vye did address many of my concerns about releasing an incomplete store. How am I to know what to buy when one, I don't know all I need to know about it and two, is there something I want more coming out later? The fact the store prices will be going up only intensifies this problem for me.
And in all honesty, I don't NEED to buy the items now. If they would just keep adding partial lists to the ones we have now like for the housing and other items, that would be perfect for me. The ones they have locked down and are willing to share with us. And make it like it is now that we can just see them and not actually buy them. that is what I have been looking forward to more than anything.

Agree, too. Further information about NPC AI or Scripts and their system would really be appreciated. If we were told how those scripts are going to work and be given some examples, we might start scripting ourselves. The sooner we can, the more bugs might be ironed out and the better and more complex our scripts can get. Obviously, we need to know further details like how hunger system or sleep system or crafting work, before we can start scripting... but any more details about AI would be great.
More details for the justice system would be nice, too. There are still people that fear it might turn into a killfest and be quite impossible to go out in the woods alone for hunting/gathering/exploring due to griefers that just play to annoy others. I, personally feel, just because of the worldsize, this wont really be a huge problem... Hopefully, there is enough space to evade the hopefully small amount of griefers. What we already know should be enough to deal with usual deviant players that actually want to play the game, i just wonder about those, that dont care about their life/soul and just want to annoy others at all costs. Those players exist in most games, so i guess we will have them here, too. More information are always nice.

Will there be longer hairstyles? Perhaps longer that below the shoulders? I really want a female style that is styled at the top but is let loose at the bottom.

Ah the wiki already have a page, i started a unreadable thread to try to list, sort and describe all the biomes i should rather turn to you guys.
those 5 biomes were missing to help me sort the biomes especially the polar desert, Alpine Tundra and montane steppe.
I have a problem with the alpine forest biome because alpine is defined as above tree line would it be possible for Souzou to tell what will set Lower Montane Forest and alpine forest appart please ?

I think that since you paid fot it (P2W!!! ...Just kidding) you wont lose them even if they die. Maybe a respawn timer (24 or 12 hrs, maybe a week?) or a revival method (Going to the church and praying or something?).
Biomes will have impact on the pets behaviour or appearance. I remember reading about artic foxes or the likes.
Wards are awesome but nothing is known about specifics...

actually, the shop says "can be lost or killed" which implies, that those pets are gone for good if they die, just like mounts or any other starting bonus. nothing is permanent. if you want a new pet, go breed one before yours is dead. the only one that does not apply for that rule is the phoenix, as it will revive itself after death. Nothing is known about a way to finally kill a phoenix or if its possible to steal a phoenix... imo, a creature that is fire itself cant really be catched and therefore not be stolen, but no idea how SbS thinks about that.
