I would believe so i remember having a conversation about this with some people in Discord. It would make sense that perhaps people could get sick from it or it could attract wild animals or maybe end up with some kind a necromancer styled play where someone would just keep bringing them back. Either way i would love these as a game mechanic.
It has been stated that not picking up the corpses can and probably will cause a disease in the area (or worse). So bury the dead and bury them deep.
