But as for an "official trailer". Not till a few things happen.

1. When they have plenty of different skills to show off.

2. When they have a some what complete combat to show off.

3. When they have an ETA on release (at least the season and year of release).

Plain and simple till they have something that will grab the attention of a gamer that isn't already interested there's no point in doing a trailer. We discussed it quite a bit in discord actually.

We are a long way from launch. You have to manage hype, and we have seen what happens when you don't. So there is no point getting the whole world riled up until they are almost at a point where the whole world can get into the game.

Well since Caspian just said yesterday (or was it today?) that they aren't even going to update the page with a propper Q&A section for the moment i doubt that they will come up with a new trailer any time soon ^^

First we need to have something like a game. Its still very early pre-alpha development right now. I agree that it'll be better to keep low profile until there is a playable alpha version. Underpromise now and over-deliver later, not vice-versa!

^ This. I'm sure SBS will release a cracking trailer, (a) When they have enough great material for it and, (b) When there's something really solid in play so that when the main body of gamers (not us early adopters), come running over the hill in a total swarm, there's something great for them to engage with. You only get a few (sometimes only one), bites at the cherry when it comes to the hype machine. I have every doubt SBS will use their bite wisely. And it'll be awhile from now, in terms of that sort of trailer.

We'd all love to see more trailers soon, but they currently have more pressing things to work on... But soon we'll see more of the coolness from SBS 🤗

Obvious advice: When the time to make a trailer comes, hire someone to do it; don't try to DIY... if you don't have anyone at the team that is really competent to do it. Lots of games, MMOs specially, have trailers that aren't sooo good.

2017 as 2016 this year will go by quickly.

Still have the release date end of 2017?

Reality to push MUD; KoE; Prologue; alpha 1 , 2; Beta 1 and 2; Exposition within this year. It will be pretty tight. May have to push the release date out.

As stated only have videos (not of actual gameplay) and screenshots. Upcoming events will take resources.

Think they along ways off from actual pre-alpha gameplay just for the community to test. Think right now 99% of the game is only on paper?

The sword fight video last year was just only a very small snippet of the game and that could have been done in any engine, just for showcase to introduce the idea of the game.

Invested and looking forward to see the development of this game.
