i would assume that magic is a mental based ability so as you get older you'd be able to perform it at a higher rate. if that's what you are asking. of course the physical aspect is the channeling into the hands or whatever you need to put it through so i guess you need to be able to raise your arms

That's one way to look at it. I think the power may continue to grow with practice, but how often / how able you are to use magick or a talent may decrease. I see it as a scale sometimes.
