Can't really remember, I was looking for a game like tibia with a similar death penalty and I came across this.
I forgot to clear my cookies from my browser for a few months and Google ads threw the game in my face.
Saw some of Electric Bear's videos and linked them to my friend, then discovered the founders were Jeromy and Eddie who had taught art and programming classes we took back in 2010-11. What a trip it was to discover people I knew 6 years ago were making the MMO I always wanted.
I work in gaming press (MMO.it) and was charged on May 2016 to make a news about CoE's Kickstarter. Got flashed by the bravery of SBS and here I am!
Googling for upcoming MMOs that might be promising. More in hope than expectation given the current lineup. I think COE showed up in one of the lists and stood out.

A relative who does a lot of gaming posted a link to the Kickstarter on Facebook. I took a look and immediately decided to back my first project on Kickstarter.

Pretty much the exact same around here.
I looked at the top 20 games of 2017. I had a top five and Coe came out on top. Offering a different experience than anything i have seen so far. I wanted something that will engage my attention for the next 5-10 years.
Me and my friend were discussing what the "perfect" MMO would be. Then she mentioned that she had watched a top 10 upcoming MMOs video and that there were one game that have caught her attention, CoE, but she didn't know much about it. So I decided to look it up and well here I am :D
first was looking up MMOs and was lead to the kickstarter. was very impressed with the origianl thinking of an MMO.
Saw a link on facebook. Been looking for an MMO for a while since WoW got not fun anymore. Every time I come to this page I get excited. I have no money right now but i definitely plan to spend some on this when I have it. Early access would be amazing in any form.
