If you go to your profile, click your name too right, you will see a friend code. You can give that to your friend for them to use when they are making their account here. They have to use it at account creation not after.
You will also not get the points straight away but if the person who uses your code buys the game or reaches 400 Influence themselves you will get 50 Influence and $5 store credit too.
