Thatcher has always been a predominant name within the county of Atrein. Known as men of innovation, risk, and enjoying finer things in life tis what drove men mad with greed. During the early years the Thatchers were known raiders, privateers. They amassed their wealth through bloodshed and theft as pirates until the great great grandfather of the house held up his sword and saw that rather then risking your life to achieve pennies why not live an honest life with your old contacts and make a fortune? It's led them into a long standing history of wealth, business, and trade due to the money they so eagerly toss aside. As a first step the family opened a small shipping company focusing on building their ships and trading with the locals to ship goods to neighboring villages along side their privateer associates that would target the competition and provide escorts for the Thatchers due to their respect for the captain. But over the years has grown into a large enterprise, with a few of the old ties still in touch.
Now Thatcher Shipping. This house focuses on production, trade, and exploration with a strong desire for the seas and expanding their ambitions and grasp past the horizon, never ending. Their core value is that the family is above all else. To them the family is what makes the house great. Not the numerous trade contacts, not the nobility or kings and queens but the house. Through their expansion into the massive trade empire their motives are known publicly to many and only grows as their trade enterprises do.
Due to this mentality the family has been known to draw in "undesirable" business contacts, including a rumor of pirates and thieves under their employ. To a Thatcher everyone has a price, and anyone can be an investment. It's been rumored that Roderick's search for the rarest goods and threats of dealing with his rival corporations makes him a man you wish not to cross. To his understanding and mindset is that it doesn't matter how you get the prize so long as a Thatcher gets it in the end. The house holds many opportunities for their members although many find themselves working for the family business and to help secure the financial wealth of the house herself.
If you have a strong desire to be near the ocean, help shape elyrian trade and economics, or simply want to be an adventurer and found new ports that we may relish in the resources of some new rare breed of exotic animal or potentially unknown plant or spice this may be the family for you.
To join house Thatcher ensures your safety within one of the largest kingdoms on NA-W, shows that you seek unbridled loyalty to the family and help us create a glorious trade empire that we and our king may be proud of. Also as a member of house Thatcher you will be given tasks of great importance to further your riches as well as the riches of the house and company.

The house seeks role players with a strong focus on exploration, trade, ship making, economics, cartography, and navigation. We're not a combat focused group (since we can hire people do be just that) and would like people who are PVE motivated although we will welcome PVP players as we do need to have a defensive fleet of our own in the off chance we are attacked in the future.
We also wish to have role players join us because any official business we conduct as a family is in character and will be taken as such. It allows to grow a deepening bond with our characters as well as each other prior to release and into the release of the game.

Have you ever wanted to belong to a family with big asperations and the financial power to support it? I'm Roderick Thatcher, the current heir of the house. We are a role playing family focused on PVE. We mostly focus on the economic and crafting side of the house but welcome PVP players who seek a more adventurous side of life be it as soldiers of the navy or captains of the guard. Have all families gone into organizations then? Before we had that the families and noble houses was the only place we could put them. Just clearing things up since this is not a guild or organization by any means. o.o

The moderators try to keep that forum clean because, as I said, it's meant strictly for discussion on game mechanics, not recruitment. Even when we had only the guild recruitment forum they were often moved for that reason. There may be a few that have been overlooked, but generally, they've all been moved.
