...In a crimson tide, the Guard surged forth, breaking all who stood in their way. Even those that had refused to buckle, trembled in fear as hundreds of horse pounded out a deadly cadence, announcing to all that the battle would soon come to an end.
Purpose:
The Crimson Guard is a Role Play / Player vs Player themed organization comprised of Men and Women that wish to pursue the Military Arts. Although this is primarily for RP, it is up to each individual if she or he wants to PvP.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Advance Guard The protection of the County against threats both outside and within County limits. Due to our rapid deployment abilities, we are the advance scouts when the County marches to war.
Monster hunting During peace time, in order to keep our skills in fighting shape, the Guard patrols the surrounding county side looking for threats to the County.
Caravan Guards Selected by caravan leaders for the protection of shipping goods to places outside of Bräwood Castle. These are selected by the Caravan owners, and each guardsmen will receive both the Military pay and what the Caravan position pays.
Personal Escorts Bräwood Castle will attract high ranking members within the Kingdom, these members will be provided a personal escort while staying within the city. These positions will be reserved and appointed by either the Commander or Lt. Commander.
Guard Ranks & Structure:
Initiate: All members start as an initiate and will be advanced to recruit after receiving basic training and a Sergeant selects them into a squad. Initiates also must take the Oath of the Guard to be promoted.
Recruit: A member of the order that is attached to a squad for training. The Sergeant that mentors the recruit can recommend them for promotion. The Commander has the final say on this promotion.
Private: As the recruits advance in training, the Sergeant can promote them to the rank of Private. Privates are the work Horse of the Guardsmen and preform any task given to them from leadership. A Private will need to pass a series of tasks and be recommended by their Sergeant for Promotion, at which point, they will be given command of a squad.
Sergeant: A fully-fledged member in the Guard. They are in charge of a 5 man squad. Each Sergeant can have up to two recruits and three privates at any given time and are responsible for their training.
Guard Captain: A fully-fledged member of the Guard. A Guard Captain will have at least three Squads under their command. Each Sergeant will report to the Guard Captain appointed over them.
Lt. Commander: Appointed by the Commander and is the second in command. there can be more than one Lt. Commander. All lower ranks will report directly to the Lt. Commander.
Commander: The commander of the Crimson Guards. This rank can promote, demote, or remove members from the order.

Whether you are a Knight learning the art of War, or a seasoned player, calling the Crimson Guard home, is a title of Respect and denotes the very best people the region has to offer. A range of PvP play styles are supported and encouraged through the Military rank structure, including extensive Role Play (RP) and leadership opportunities. Becoming a Guardsmen, you would play a central role in the defense and empowerment of Tir'Brännon County, the Duchy of Sanctaphandri, and the Kingdom of Ashland as a whole.
