If you live in IZUN, you're an Izunion. Just like ions in real life, Izun-ions aren't neutral individually. We specialize and get good at a single task. In our unity are we strong, in our completeness do we find true balance. In many RPG's players can create character's skilled in all of the professions, but in COE diversity and specialization will triumph over Jack's of Many trades. Our code of laws will incorporate reduced costs for basic goods across the county, so that you can spend the time you do put into Elyria impacting your areas of interest, and not worrying about the high cost associated with your profession. We want you to become the best in your field, so we will work with you so that you have the resources you need to succeed.
In chronicles of Elyria, each lifetime is a product of the lifetimes that have come before it. When you choose to live in IZUN you're making a commitment to your future lives. The trade-off in your current life will be hard, but the investment in your future will be bountiful. In IZUN professions offer their products and services internally at far reduced cost, and this allows all professions to rapidly advance. Gatherer's will be able to get better tools earlier, producers will have access to raw materials in greater bulk. Traders will have the opportunity to move lots of goods. For every lifetime you choose to commit to IZUN, you're discounts will improve even if you change professions.
The county will have a council that meets monthly with a candidate from each profession as a representative. These council meetings will act as a foundation for inter and intra county trade agreements. During each meeting all of the tradespeople of a given profession will hold a conclave in the county seat to determine their council representative. These conclaves will serve as a way to trade information with others of your same profession that live in different cities nearby. Each representative serves until death or until the next conclave for their profession occurs.
