 but if the dras are immune to all diseases, and their disease is immune to all immunities, wut the wut?
 but if the dras are immune to all diseases, and their disease is immune to all immunities, wut the wut?
I was talking to some people about this as Gutzai stated "Dras are only immune to all known diseases." and stated in the form post by Caspian about the Dras "Disease Immunity - Living around decay has caused them to develop total immunity to all known diseases"
So all though on the homeland the Dras can not be harmed by Diseases the discovery of new tribes will bring the discovery of new unknown diseases at which point in the game the Dras will have immunity to most diseases but no longer to all the disease types available as they wont have the protection from the new types. So in the larger scope of the game the OP has a valid point the Mydarri Tribe Might cause a mass out brake on the homeland where not even the Dras will be safe.
This makes it intresting for people wanting to play Dras because of the Immunity as they will lose that advantage later on in game. Even then what of the tribes already weak to disease (i cant think of one and there might not be one but for now what if) Could the whole tribe be destroyed over night?
(Just thinking out load)
Or maybe we infect the Mydarri and they take it back to their people. So that by the time we discover their continent it is barren of mann because they brought back disease from the old world.
This is a event that needs to happen! If each one of the 4 tribes is presented to the old world through a major storyline event the story would be waaaaaayy more interesting than they simply being discovered in a new continent idly waiting the players as soon as ocean travel is unlocked.
There's room for invasions, exodus; expeditions...
The reason that in our history the new world was the one devastated by disease from the old world rather then visa-versa is that the old world have more aggressive infectious diseases then the new world.
This was due to the fact the old world is a larger land mass with higher populations that form more possible disease transmitting and developing opportunities (also the reason it had more technology btw), and second that the old world had ubiquitous domesticated animals which are the REAL source of the most devastating diseases, not wild animals from jungles.
Thus if the Old world is the larger and more developed one I would fully expect disease load to mirror real history rather then be the reverse. Which means Mydarri get wiped out and Janoa NPC's brought over to work the plantations.
