Resource Management with Helgrim

A huge part of the Elyrian world is going to be based around the collection of resources. From the dedicated farmers who work the fields so that we may eat, the brawny woodcutters who topple great trees to build our homes, or the hardened miners who dive beneath the earth to uncover the riches it holds, each of these professions is essential to a successful community. The Helgrim Enterprises Wholesale Division understands this, and wants to make sure that those who wish to pursue a career in these fields and many more will be able to not only succeed, but flourish. We are looking for men and women alike who wish to dedicate themselves to the art of resource collection.

The collection of resources is the backbone of society, and unfortunately is a profession that often misses the limelight when compared to others. Here at Helgrim we want to make sure that those who decide that they want to give themselves to such a craft will not only receive the respect and prestige they deserve but are able to use their position to gain a leg up in the world of Elyria. To dedicate yourself to resource collection within Helgrim will not only bring you wealth, but security and adventure in itself.

So why should you become a resource collector for Helgrim?

1. Wealth

Out of all the professions in CoE, becoming a resource collector will very likely be one of the most economically sound professions in the game. This is because most other professions in game will be nice optional choices for certain groups, but yours will be mandatory. Without the cogs the machine will not run. When many of the cogs want to be adventurers or sneaky, poison-brewing rogues, (which you can still be) the demand for your services will skyrocket, along with your pay.

Helgrim is a trade oriented guild, and we intend to make sure that our members are treated fairly. Payment will be provided immediately for the materials you collect, no having to stand in the market spamming chat to sell your wares. This gives you more time to collect, which in turn makes you even wealthier.

2. Security

In CoE, instead of paying a monthly subscription, you instead pay for a soul. This soul represents your character as he or she makes their way through the journey of life. The average playtime for each soul is about a year, however things such as living recklessly and “dying” will shorten this lifespan, making you lose playtime. Being on the frontlines of battle sounds exciting, but without proper armor and weapons, which you may need to buy for yourself, could have you paying for your bloodlust with your wallet.

As a Helgrim resource collector you can be sure to live a long and fulfilling life. All major areas of collection will have security stationed around them, so you will be free to work without the threat of wild animals and bandits. The possibility of death is significantly lower, and you would be free to work in peace as you present your own craft. There will always be time for adventure, but not when you’re just trying to earn some coin.

3. Flexibility

One aspect that should be emphasized is that becoming a Helgrim resource collector does not mean in any way that you need to forfeit your wanderlust. The Helgrim Wholesale Division is filled with opportunities at your disposal such as merchants, transporters, and a variety of supplying positions. In addition there are other divisions within Helgrim that you are free to pursue such as becoming a crafter, soldier, or explorer. Becoming a resource collector does not restrict you from pursuing other passions, but rather it helps you achieve the passion you have as a collector. Your position will allow you to easily access the wealth required for your other ambitions, and can give you an advantage when pursuing other crafts.

In addition to being able to do other things, Helgrim also has many connections among other counties within the Kingdom of Vornair. By being a member you would have a place among these areas where before you are but a stranger. As a resource collector your opportunities become endless, so the only real question is; what are you waiting for?

It's always a hard sell, asking players "Hey, want to be a virtual coal miner in your free time?", but I think Helgrim's model nails it with their flexibility.

I wonder if it would be worth conscripting an alt to give my character a steady paycheck...
