Helgrim Seeker Society is a gathering of like-minded people, whose souls are driven by the desire to discover the hidden corners of Elyria. Whether delving the most ancient of texts, sailing off into the unknown horizon, or spelunking into the deepest caves and ruins in search of secrets – we all desire to be the first to discover the wonders that Elyria has to provide us.
As an affiliate, and a part of Helgrim Enterprises, we will have access to survival supplies and funding that your average adventurer won’t have. With dedicated crafters and merchants, we will have the best gear available. With direct contacts into kingdoms, we will have more freedom in where our wandering feet bring us. And with a Family-like guild behind us we will always have a safe haven when our wandering souls need a rest.
In return, we supply our survival and exploration expertise back to the guild in the form of escorting caravans of goods to new towns and cities, providing the most accurate and up to date maps, sharing discovered resource locations to our gatherers, and discovering and leading security expeditions into known danger zones for boss-like raids and fights.
As we all well know, it will be impossible for a single person to be an expert in anything in Chronicles of Elyria. Being a Seeker within a Commerce Guild can have several benefits:
Access to discounts on Armor, Weapons, Potions, etc.
Crafters, Gatherers and Merchants need to know where they are going and where to find resources. Helgrim Seekers will have first priority on any contracts requiring exploration and location services.
Found an ancient ruin, but it is guarded by a large creature/monster? Helgrim has a Security Division that would be eager to help and the crafting ingredients gained from the monster would make the crafters extremely happy and willing to pay for such ingredients.
Want to be the first to sail the seas, but you need a crew and ship? You could lead such an expedition as a crew’s navigator or captain with a Helgrim-supplied ship and crew.
Travel the world and provide accurate maps for Helgrim caravans and merchants to use.
A bandit infestation needs clearing out by the local Duke, but he/she doesn’t know where the bandit camp is. A seeker may be asked to track and find the camp. Or perhaps an army needs a safe valley to camp in while on the march, the seekers will be asked to find such a location.
Crafters/Merchants may contract seekers to seek for a new source of metal, wood, or herb as well as new villages/towns for the selling of goods.
Old places hold clues to technologies and the lore of the world. Nobles with money to spare or even Helgrim Enterprises itself may commission seekers to find such a location for the empowerment of the kingdom or the guild.
Of course, all Seekers will also be allowed to explore and travel as much as their heart and soul desires. It is not always necessary to have a contract for a job before you set out. Having a commerce guild behind us means that we can set out with nothing more in mind than exploration and it is almost guaranteed that whatever we find will have some use to someone else within the guild.
The most important requirement is that you have the soul of a wanderer. You want, with all your heart, to see what this magnificent world of Elyria has to offer. We don’t require that you spend all your time working with the guild, but we do believe you should fulfill contracts here and there and try to participate when the guild holds large events.
You do have to be a survivalist. We don’t mind if you also want to craft, fight, or protect during OPC or downtime, but if you want to fulfill most of the roles listed above as a Seeker, you need to be able to take care of yourself. You will be expected to lead teams of non-survivalists out into the unknown. It would be disastrous if you were to get a team lost.
Seekers won’t be asked to be on the front-lines of any battle, but there are jobs we can do when our home is threatened. During wartimes we will form the core of the scouting team, keeping our armies informed of where enemies are and helping to prevent flanking maneuvers our allies may not see without us.
Lastly – we just want you to have fun. Helgrim Seeker Society is for exploration and for those who want to journey. We don’t expect you to stay in a single place. We want you to be free.
Helgrim Enterprises is one of the oldest guilds in CoE. We have an active group of people who play games together and act well.... like a family would. The Seeker Society is a part of that family. For those of us whose souls fly to the farthest reaches, it is a place to anchor our souls and a place to return to. That is the Helgrim Family.

With land selection just around the corner, it's definitely exciting to get a general idea of the area we will be exploring.
