Kingdom of Vornair
Duchy of The High Seas
County of Siren's Shore
Town of IronCall
Baron Wayland Ade'Braeden
The town of IronCall is the sanctuary the Iron Consortium call home. We are looking for citizens to help maintain The Way. We are a town of roleplay, PvP and masterful building. IronCall is the town for anyone who wishes to participate in upholding the laws of the land. Our forces intend to patrol trade route to keep merchants safe and offer our protective services to lawful people of the lands. The town will become a hub where Traders can put up shop and rest assured they will be protected from heinous villany. We are recruiting, warriors, blacksmiths, farmers, merchants and general craftsmen in particular but all are welcome within our walls.
Town Focus
Our focus is to maintain a hub for merchants, traveling and otherwise. We will patrol direct trade routes and offer our services to indirect trade routes at a cost to be determined on a case by case basis. Our protection will be available for hire for a fee to be determined on a case by case basis when units are available. IronCall has no desire of riches so our taxes will be fair and negotiable at town meetings with land owners and merchants.
Joining our town does not require you join in the Iron Consortium it merely means you adhere to our law which is the law of the land.
Leadership
The town will be lead by the Judicator(Baron) along with Lord Commander of the Iron Consortium and his council members. Judicator(Baron) will personally handle any civil disputes within the city walls. The Judicator and Lord Commander will handle any and all criminal disputes we find within our lands. Crime will afford you banishment from IronCall at the very least but all will receive their trial.
Iron Way, Sect of Al'tifali
None are above the law as it is how the Way and the Balance are maintained. The Way is both path and the map of the path. As we walk the path we know right before doing right. The Way is natural, spontaneous, eternal, nameless, and indescribable. It is at once the beginning of all things and the way in which all things pursue their course. To kill without need is not the Way. Only the Way and it’s Judicators may pass judgement and enforce the law of the land.
All ranked Consortium Members have the authority of the Judicator and Lord Commander to detain criminals for their escort to trial. It is not the Way to fight and lose. The Way is an ever present and absolute truth and as such cannot be defeated. If in bringing justice one is not absolute in victory, the Way would bring you to report to your brotherhood. No Knight must follow the Way alone outside our walls.
Lore
Seated near the center of what is now the county of Siren’s Shore sat the simple temple and village of the Monks of the Iron Way. In the center of their small village sat massive glowing forges that were welcome to all who felt the Iron Call. They lived each day in the meditation of working iron and steel into masterful swords, armor and intricate pieces of art. The sound of iron being worked by so many was said to create a song in the town and surrounding mountain areas. Alone it was a simple banging of metal, but together a beautiful chorus. The monks rarely spoke though they often housed merchants looking to buy their wares. It was rumored the monks never spoke and held their words inside themselves as fuel for the forges of their souls. Their soul forges burned away their impurities, honing their mental focus giving them the skill needed to coerce the iron into such works of beauty. They did not concern themselves with the ebb and flow of rulers but when their friends and families of what is now Siren’s Shore were attacked by the mad king’s forces they were torn about taking up the arms they had created. The monks turned inward when news was brought, none replying to the panicked messenger speaking of a resistance and innocents hung up in the streets of Donau. Except for a Monk named Braeden and his 6 apprentices who broke their silence and spoke with the messenger. Having broken the Iron Circle by putting down their hammers, the chorus of the Iron fell apart and became of cacophony. In the dissonance Monk Braeden yelled “Brothers and Sisters, another song needs our chorus. Our friends and families of the Arbor are under attack. Let us create the Iron Song upon our enemies. Who will heed the Iron’s Call?!” Cheers rose from the silent monks and they took up arms.
They loaded all the of the armor and weapons they would carry, many of them wielding massive warhammers. Joining with William Redwyne’s movement the Monks split into two fronts. Known now as the Hammer and the Anvil, they worked to flank the enemy forces and managed to split the invading army in half protecting Redwyne’s forces from a rear attack and joining the Iron Song in chorus with the Siren’s voices. In the end Redwyne’s forces beat back the invaders from the county and the Monks pushed on to aid what would become the kingdom of Vornair in ridding the lands of the mad king’s forces. Braeden and the rest of the Hammer charged the enemy's siege weaponry, dismantling them with mighty, precise hammer blows. The monks used their soul forges to become as mighty as 10 soldiers. The kingdom as a whole was victorious, the Iron Monks were quenched in the blood of their people's enemies and when the dust had settled a barony was forced upon Braeden for the efforts of himself and his Monk companions. The temple forge expanded and became the settlement of IronCall. Having lived his life as a monk, Braeden chose to rule his Barony by a council of seven. High on the council wall sits the massive hammer Braeden wielded in battle. Engraved among the beautiful knotwork of the hammer rest the words “Ever Vigilante”.
Braeden’s bloodline continued to rule by council vote and his seven children and their children brought the town of IronCall to prosperity over the next 120 years. It became a bustling merchant town, home to great works of Iron though the Monks of the Iron Way became the Iron Brotherhood and vowed to keep the lands safe from lawlessness. IronCall became known to promise safe roads, security for merchants and a place where justice reigned supreme. Baron Wayland Ade’Braeden now watches over the lands and his forges with the aid of his 6 council members.
