It would be fun to see if the direction the research develops is in the direction of air rifles instead. :D
Yeah, what the kypiq has isn't energetic enough to work as gunpowder. They essentially fling color burning powders into the air for their "fireworks."
Not that that sounds lacking in tactical uses, though. ;)

The first thing that came to mind when I read this was ninja vanish, except Kypiq vanish (and in a really pretty cloud of violet smoke).
Lol traps and bombs and poison oh my! I'm not sure that you are embracing the Kypiq lifestyle. Unless of course you plan to invent a "humane" Janoa trap, and then release them into the wild later on sans weapons of course...
