Ipad Pro Capable?

Does anyone know if CoE will be able to run on the iPad pro that's coming out?

I, don't think SBS has any current plans, to spend time developing on iOS.

Come one people; At least add your sarcasm emotes. But than again, we can also play Elyria with our computers switched off. Let your character do its own thing.

Greetings, Bellyaas.

There is a very good chance CoE will not run on any iPad Pros or similiar devices to it in the future, nor developing anything iOS software for the base game. Whether or not, they choose to expand on this development wise is up for question, but at this time it is not in the plans for it.

Unlikely, even OS issues aside.

the A12X supposedly sits between the Ryzen 2200G and 2400G for integrated GPU performance (2400G being what I would consider the bare minimum for the game), but apple processors have a bad reputation for throttling, so I doubt it'll realistically hold that performance.

Even though it's 7nm, the extra headroom achieved from that was probably completely eliminated in favor of performance, as is too often the case with die shrinks.

Performance wouldn't be the problem with an iPad Pro.

Huh? Does anyone know of a pad computer that will run Ark? Even with prospective die shrinks, I think heat dissipation will be a serious issue.

Considering the game is not even being developed for consoles, something this niche is highly unlikely to be on the list of development priorities.

I would be disappointed if the game does not run on my microwave. I will have to check my OPC while cooking dinner. :3

This might be doable if the lag isn't too bad and the bandwidth doesn't cost you a fortune. The nature of the technology is such that two additional hops are required in the round trip between your personal device and the CoE servers. Also, the downstream hop from the Shadow server to your personal device will consist of high-bandwidth pre-rendered graphics rather than lower-bandwidth event packets.

Announcing for mobile platforms worked well for Blizzard ;)

A mobile app to monitor your OPC and guide their behaviour is entirely possible, whether we'll see it is another question.

Add alerts for when your OPC is assaulted? Sparking heightened levels of rage as you drive home.
