COMMUNITY - FORUMS - LUNA GENERAL
Hi! I am Sky and also new, Pleased to meet you!

Hello, I just joined today and as I read all the game related stuff I saw that this isn't your run of the mill MMO, in here you can make your own life and make a family, live your own life. I found this very interesting, I registered for the Luna server and read through some interesting topics about towns, guilds, and kingdoms? I don't want to end up living in the middle of nowhere and alone but I wouldn't want to be in a super highly populated area... crowds are a bit much. How does this work? maybe I should get acquainted with others before I play? I believe this game to have its own spark that attracts others like it did with me. I don't know what I should go for or do as a future job or possibility. Hope you enjoyed this and I want to read everyone's opinions.

I would first look at what kingdoms align with your goals, if any. Then once you do that, if you are in the official discord, look through the recruitment board for and towns or such. They usually have a pretty good detail of what you'll be getting into. Most of the community is also really helpful too so if you are in a town discord or such it will be nice and friendly with each other. You can also always PM me if you want someone to talk to about anything :)

Hey, welcome! :) You're going to have an amazing time.

You can get as acquainted with others as you like before play, and I highly recommend that you do - mainly because Elyria has a truly awesome, welcoming community, and it's a wonderful place to socialise. Many people, as you've noticed, have begun to come together in their own sub-communities in preparation for launch and, if that interests you, they're mostly all eager for new people.

But if it's more your style to go your own way, that's totally fine too. You might find it easier to settle in a place whose population density is more your scene once everyone knows where the big towns and cities, as well as the more rural areas, are going to be.

Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

Welcome Sky! Most of us are choosing to connect with other players early on before the game releases. And don't worry about being "stuck" somewhere in the middle of nowhere or over-populated - you'll have control over what kind of area your character starts in. If I recall correctly, character creation for most characters includes picking from parents as they are located on a map.

Welcome Sky! As other have suggested get to know the community at large and start planning. Identify where you see yourself in a civilization and what role you want to play.

This is a diverse community and there is a place for everyone. You have time to find the right home. Based upon the scope of the game, it will be a lot easier to find a like minded group to settle with to organize and progress with.

Welcome, welcome! I second everything that everyone has already said. I remember joining and wondering "Where do I start?"

Start anywhere within the communities, and go where your interests lie. Good luck!

Welcome Sky, feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will do our best to help you find the answers ♥

Everyone has given really good advice, but I'm going to go in a different direction with it. I really would like to see someone start in the other direction with things since NA-East has basically worked out their kingdom picks currently (nothing guaranteed) I think that you should look into what tribes interest you the most, what do you want to do in the game, where do you see yourself best located? is it in a nice forest? Is it in the snow? Is it on a nice coast? These are all questions I think that would also be best to help you out in making your decision.

Having a concrete idea of what tribe you want to play, where you want to play, what you want to do are all equally very helpful in helping you find the right home as well as, if you're looking for more PVP type stuff or PVE type stuff or PVE/Story/Lore type stuff, meaning: Are you looking to be more of a player combat role -- Adventuring(contested lands), soldier etc? Or PVE meaning -- farming, tavern running, professions, etc? or PVE/Story/Lore/Culture type stuff meaning -- Are you looking to more or less create a story, play out a story, follow the lore and stories of the tribes/biome/kingdom, etc?

Those will really help you to learn what you want to do because some means you can be more flexible than others. If you want to play a certain tribe but want to be more PVP/PVE not really Story/Lore/Culture, then you're going to be able to move tribes to other kingdoms to play with people/the community you really truly mesh well with.

But if you're looking for more Story/Lore with your tribe/kingdom/culture of the tribe, then you're not really looking to move around a whole lot from the initial tribes starting point/majority tribe biome home/area.

So its a great and tough decision ^.^

My advice is just hang around with the community and see who you like to be with.
Alternatively you can choose a tribe/biome you like and settle in that region and just see who you end up with.
Don't be tricked into choosing very fast, there's lots and lots of options, and you don't need to choose right away.
