a throwback to my being english where we put the day first in our date format

can't edit the title so ah well - sucks to be human and fallible :)

Wouldn't it be called a March rather than a Protectorate?

Wouldn't it be called a March rather than a Protectorate?

nope - a March or Mark was generally speaking a borderland between two realms

so, for our purposes at least, we might consider using the term March (which i really like) for counties within our Grand Duchy that border another kingdom

since the Protectorate will have some counties that are up against the Royal County in the heart of the province, and will be ratified as it's own Duchy during the first Sedicim, we preferred the term Protectorate

It makes sense because most people dont say its December the 11th day, they say its the 11th of December.
