One of the leaks in Vye's lore article is that the Lost Vault is evidently in the Waerd biome of Kingdom 4, at least on Angelica. The journal writer explicitly mentioned staying at the Last Oasis tavern, and traveling there via a Waerd city.
Of course, the lore may not be literal for all servers.
