Clickspring videos and ancient technology

One of my favorite youtubers to watch right now is Clickspring. He makes incredible videos about clock making and similar metal working projects, all in HD with a lovely voice. He's made a full carriage clock entirely from scratch, and is currently working on a modern build of the Antikythera mechanism, an ancient calendar and celestial prediction device from sometime in the late 200s BC.

One of the most interesting parts of the videos to me, and the reason for me making this thread, is that for the Antikythera project, he is doing his best to utilize tools that would have been in existence in that day and age. Frankly, the creativity and simplicity of some of the tools is boggling. Vices, files, measuring devices, all simple in creation and yet capable of making intricate devices that today we'd use machine precision and lasers.

While I recognize that the detail of a real life creation process from this era is beyond what could reasonably be programmed into the game, I do hope that at least a midway point of detail is attempted for metalworking. Different files to create different cuts and shapes, intricate doo-dads for the rich to buy and display in their manors, things of this nature. I'd love to hear ideas you guys have too.

I highly recommend checking out Clickspring (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCworsKCR-Sx6R6-BnIjS2MA), and some reading on the history of the Antikythera mechanism, it's pretty interesting (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antikythera_mechanism).
