There are no words to describe the tragedy in New Zealand. While I do not know anyone affected, I have friends who know one of the innocent folks who were wounded and in critical condition. It's a tragedy. Hate and terrorism knows no religion, no race, no creed, and no nationality. It's a cancer, and once it infects someone's heart, it consumes them. It's beyond hate at this point. It's something else. Something far more sinister and intentional.
Stick together, good people. Let not our differences divide us, but instead make us closer. We all share this little sphere rocketing through the solar system. We're only on this ride for a short time. Let's fill this time with love, respect, empathy, and compassion.
Let us never forget that despite our differences, we are all the same.
