So I have the Elyrian package with Alpha II access and I was wondering... When Exposition comes around, will I be able to buy big items like land, buildings, etc. or would I be restricted to smaller items since I theoretically wouldn't own a settlement at that point?

You need Bloodline + to be able to purchase stuff during Exposition.

While you will be able to participate in the Alpha II testing phase, that will be wiped, perhaps even before Beta begins,

In order to participate in Exposition, and thus buy things that will persist into the live game, you must be bloodline or higher.
