Command of Troops

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could point me to a resource that would discuss the command-ability of NPC troops.

Such as like in Mount & Blade, where you can command those near you, has there been any discussion of what kind of mechanic CoE will use to command troops in a battle?

Thank you all for your time.

We'd love to be able to do that, but we don't know anything definitive about it yet.

No specific mention as far as I know but I’d imagine it would work similar to how they’ve mentioned NPCs will react to players in other ways.

I would think that depending on your fame, renown, title, etc. NPC characters (guards and soldiers included) would either listen or ignore what you’re saying. Title would make it really easy if there was a way to give a person title of Commander which would automatically instil a sense of loyalty and servitude from NPC enlisted in an army or civic guard.

That being said this is entirely speculation but I’m sure there will be some way to at least encourage NPCs to follow orders.
