Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but here goes. There appears to be what are either a huge amount of rivers that dont flow anywhere (i.e. the ocean) or else there are a huge amount of ribbon lakes. Is there an explanation for this?
Water generally flows, but there is a rendering issue if there is shallow water. As a result, fast flowing shallow water doesn't get picked up in the renderer even if there is a substantial amount of water passing quickly through an area. I think this means that cataracts or rapids in rivers often cause the river to not be rendered.
