Ice

I’m wondering how much the dev team plans to implement ice into the game in regards to the changing of seasons. Will rivers freeze over when temperatures get low? Will trade routes be blocked during the winter? Can it be harvested and used as a resource? Maybe in the more extreme cased they could make it possible to fall through ice if you walk across a frozen lake…
