The County of Stormmeadow is located in the middle of the Duchy of Lyandolin. Ruled by the duke Hari Seldon of house Sabi. In the kingdom of Al’khezam ruled by King Usifan.
Stormmeadow itself is Ruled by Count Eahlron Storm.
Like in the majority of the Duchy and the northern part of the Kingdom, the primary feature of the County is farming. Our second most important feature is the access to fresh water, which will mean a good supply of fish and expanding the settlements will be easier. All by all providing food to the duchy and kingdom will be an important task for our county. The following features are also present in the county: Hunting, lumber, mining(both stone and in minerals), foraging, clay and very important to us, a trade route to and from the county capital.

Count Eahlron Storm and by that the entire county, is part of the organization Stormlaw. It is a group of counts in the Duchy that work together to enhance their position in the Duchy. They will work together to develop their counties faster as when they would be alone. This will be on all subjects, from trade to politics, from research to warfare and so on Each count will be responsible for a specific task. What also is important to know about Stormlaw, is that if one County is threatened that the entirety of Stormlaw will support that County
Count Eahlron Storm is tasked as the Marshall of Stormlaw and will act as the vanguard for Stormlaw. Alongside that he is also tasked to protect the inland river system that he has access to from his settlement. A forum post about Stormlaw itself will still be made where everything will be explained in detail, I will put down a link as soon as it is ready.
The Location of the county and its capital Riverstone, makes it an important settlement in the river system. It is located where the majority of all rivers in the duchy come together. This makes it an important settlement where people can rest up, or perform trade. We are looking to develop the settlement in an important trade-hub for the duchy itself. The primary industry of Riverstone is production, this will be a good combination with our trade route access.
Because the river system is important to us, we take guarding the river system as a vital personal task. Not only in our county but outside it as well. As long as the rivers are save, trade will flow through our capital. Taking this task and the location of Riverstone combined, we want to develop Riverstone into a stronghold. Riverstone is for nearly 75 % surrounded by rivers, which create a natural defense structure. If we are being attacked there is only one way they can attack via land. This makes it easier to defend for us. This is one of the reasons Riverstone will be an important stronghold for the duchy and Stormlaw.
For Stormlaw, riverstone and its troops will be the vanguard. We won’t back down from a threat, and we will be the first to take up arms for Stormlaw and defend it.
A short background on the count. Count Eahlron Storm is part of house Storm. A strong house in the duchy and the kingdom. It has 2 other counts, Count Finn Storm of Stormwald and Count Thor Storm of Thunormore who is also the leader of Stormlaw. Other then them there are 4 more members that all have their role to play for house Storm.
Count Eahlron Storm is a trained fighter himself and will gladly take his sword to fight alongside his troops. Which will be necessarily sometimes as his troops are the vanguard of Stormlaw, and the defender of the inland river system.
In the county there are still 2 unclaimed settlements that you can claim.
Estimated population will be between 42-57 and it is very self-sustainable. Its located at a river that leads to the nearby lake. Its primary industry is a stone quarry. Other then that it has access to lumber, fresh water, wildlife, foraging, fish, farmland, mineral deposits and clay .
Estimated population will be between 17-23 and it is very self-sustainable. It is located directly next to the lake. Its primary industry is fishing. Other then that it has access to lumber, stone, fresh water, wildlife, foraging, and farmland.
The count sees the possibility for at least 2 (possibly 3) more locations where a settlement can be placed in the future. With good farmland and fresh water access that we know of so far. If you want to work together with the count, go ahead and claim those settlements. If you like to start you own settlement from the ground up, have a chat and see what is possible.
There are many roles to play in the county, of course you can play however you want. Only in the following categories there will be more possibilities because of the counties focus.
Military: Because the county is the vanguard of Stormlaw and tasked with protecting the inland river system. there will be plenty military roles to play in the county. You can be a soldier or rise in the ranks and have a commanding rank.
Traders: as the county capitals aims to develop into an important river trade hub, we need good traders to aid us in that.
Farmers: as the main industry for nearly the entire duchy is farming, we also need good farmers that are not afraid to try out new farming techniques that will benefit us. We need farmers in both livestock and normal field farms
Production: as the main industry of Riverstone is production. We need people who want to create the best and finest products from raw materials.
Politicians/advisors: we also need politicians that can advise the Count. As the count has many different tasks, from being the Marshall for Stormlaw to being the mayor that needs enhance its trade hub position, from a count that needs to keep his food production up to working together with the Gentry that have production holdings in the capital. He can use advice from time to time, as no one is specialized on so many subjects.
