A long ago, our family was located by the ocean. We were weak, ignorant people that only fished for food. Despite this, our cowardly family was satisfied. At least until the fish started disappearing. It was said that there was a monster roaming the oceans, depleting the food sources of many villages. But not everyone in our family was cowardly. Our ancestor, which we only know as Ancient Secret, volunteered to slay the horrid beast. She donned our family armor and bore our shameful sigil, a fish. Despite this, she dove into the depths of the ocean, carrying only herself, her armor, and her two swords. After surviving a ferocious storm, she found the beast. Without hesitation, she threw herself at the water daemon. It had no wings for it roamed the oceans, but had sharp claws that could slash through an ursaphant easily. Its scales were as black as the night sky and had gold oozing out of its scales. It spit its burning acid, melting through her armor. For a moment she was shocked, the armor she wore was of the strongest metal that mann knew. She quickly gathered her wits and fought back with her two swords. The battle lasted hours on end, but the daemon finally admitted defeat. Before dying, it made the warrior promise something. "Your prowess in battle is unmatched, for no one has been able to defeat me, excluding you. But before I give you my strength, speed, endurance, and bravery, you must promise me one thing. Do not put my powers to waste, ensure that you and your family become enlightened. With my spirit, you will be unmatched, but do not grow boastful, for if you do, my spirit shall depart and you will no longer have my powers. Promise this to me ancient warrior." She promised the daemon and slashed its head off, bringing one of its claws as a reminder of the promise she made. Throughout the rest of her life, she stayed true to her word, and remained humble. But it is now up to us to fulfill the rest of her promise. We shall become enlightened.
