Well they haven't set anything in stone for the combat other than it being non-tab targeting and having relation to physics. That being said I think a lot of directions they can take it are good ones. Chivalry is nice, however it's a relatively inefficient system as it is 8 directions of swing on 8 separate buttons. It would make much more sense to do something similar to Mount & Blade , Life is Feudal, or Kingdoms Rise where the players mouse control determines the direction of the weapons swing (also of note is a new EA game on steam called Exanima, it's isometric but I'm referencing more the weapon physics than the camera angle). I really feel like allowing the player to control swing direction allows for players who actually get involved in combat to really compete with each other on a high skill level, it helps separate real fighters from those who do it for homestead defense.
