I used to roleplay like that all the time.
I used to do forum RP before I got into the MMO scene, haven't done it since sadly enough and has become a lost art for me. I just dont know how to get back into it after done so much in MMO's etc.
I used text based roleplay primarily for being better at writing and character development, so I typically only went to sites that enforced or encouraged this sort of thing. I have never done MMO roleplaying, and is something I've been looking at, but not sure if I would like it. :P I've been writing a book and that's the reason I stopped text based roleplaying, and it has been a while now.
well luckily it is not hard to get back into, especially if you find one that is more structured like a game then straight freeform it still gives you the mechanics of structure and such but with the freedom to play how you like :D I encourage to pick it back up if you used to love it or for you @AlyssaImagine to help you maybe spark new ideas for you book. I also am working on a book and sometimes your RP characters on the sites will give you great muse for your books.
@Zultra, my site is not complete or I would gladly welcome you to it :D If i get enough interest here I will pool more of my time into finishing it I am probably 85% done or so.
Well, I will keep my eyes on this. For me, it typically depends on the structure and rules of the site. :)
Well i can let you its structured kind of like dnd in a way but not 100%. Its based off of a magic school that sits on a island terraformed by thousands of years of magic manipulation.

I previously asked the community whether they'd be interested in play CoE as a MUD as a way to test the server. There wasn't much interest.
Hmm, that's too bad, because that actually sounds kinda cool. :P
never played a MUD before but they do sound interesting :D
