How many skills can a player have?

Many. Think of it like real life if you were starting in medieval times.

You could dabble in many skills or focus on one. Elyria doesn't limit itself to categories either. You could master smithing a single item long before you master the craft. There are countless ways for players to stand out and offer something unique in CoE.

Skills will have varieties of soft caps introduced from life to life. May take you several lives to become a true master.

If you want an idea of some of the vast range of professions, check the store and look up the kits ;)

Read the design journals. Looking awesome.

I wonder if we will be able to combine skills to create new skill lines the way you can invent other things.

Jack of all trades and master of none, is still better than a master of one.

depends on the setting: in the hearth of a duchy capital, a master smith would be a really nice asset to a territory. jack of all trades is more a solo approach (and it will be hard and painful).

Rather than how many skills can one have, how hard will it be to add new skills/talents to your character? Will the character's age be taken into account?
