Although it must be stressed that King Dragor maintains his wishes to avoid an excess of micromanagement, a kingdom structure is still in place to provide a stable backbone to society, and to aid any Nirathi where needed. Nirath in this sense can be considered a support system; a catalyst for any individual’s projects and an enabler of success in trade, production, and prosperity.
The structural ordering of an entire kingdom can be delicate. A common sense approach is most likely to be adopted by Nirath, as a result. In this, a straight-forward hierarchical layering that fully encompasses the values and intent of Soulbound Studios’ own mechanical structure is a must. An imitation of feudal society in this sense (King Dragor need only organise his dukes, the dukes their counts, etc.) affords a great deal of flexibility in play style for peasant and nobility alike, and means that while the kingdom governed by the king holistically, every individual maintains their freedom to evolve their game experience.
Assisting the decision-making of Dragor, the Royal Court is comprised of a small selection of trusted personalities from across Nirath. The span of their knowledge in different areas, both geographic and academic, means that they collectively formulate experienced and educated solutions to factors that may prove detrimental to the realm as a whole. The structure of the kingdom will evolve in time, as more information is revealed about Chronicles of Elyria.
Also it is to be noted that Nirath relies heavily on the theme of religion, which is an important part of the game-play, lore and story of the world of COE, as it was emphasized on by the dev team often. Thus a whole different religious structure and order will be set up within the kingdom (if applicable), but further understanding of the game systems is needed. As the game is in early development, it is hard to forge solid plans and declare them public, so we tread carefully for now.
In the absence of King Dragor, King Regent Rhaegys Audran will take charge of the kingdom. Consistency is key, and the continued presence of a ruler with the ideals of Nirath is important.
