Yes the contract system will allow this kind of services to exist. Some players can organize a courier system to deliver letters or small items. Kinda like the Pony Express.

Ah, interesting. So can I assume that a player-made mailing organization is a possible direction within the game?
Yup, it's totally possible. Especially with the Offline Player Character feature, I think that players will utilize this to make some extra money while offline.
The system totally allows for a courier "system", and the first person to really capitalize on it will probably be successful. That won't be easy, however, as the world is treacherous...

Oh my gosh, if we could tame pigeons and train them to deliver mail, just think of the possibilities XD
I believe Falcon said 'Piegons', which I gather must be some sort of pie-pigeon hybrid. Probably harder to train, but more delicious when eaten?
Sounds like I have a direction for a guild/organization at the moment :)
Logistics are after all too tedious for many to handle lol
It's not only logistics you need to worry about.. you have wild creatures, player based highwaymen orgs and logistics.. will you look to hire your own gaurds or pay off the highwaymen for safe passage? I do accept visa and MasterCard.
Well, I do consider that as part of the trade. Probably a contract based courier service that makes use of talented individuals.
I just gotta make a good enough deal for runners to take the job, and clients to hire :)
A talented person being able to fend off 10 raiders seems unlikely every time.. what are you plans if the package doesn't arrive?
My guild plans on using these types of contracts as a part of revenue. We will be guards or even can be used as postal services. We are also making alliances to expand our service abilities.
