The County of Enaid (Soul in Welsh) is located within the Duchy of the Haverlands in the Kingdom of Ashland. Enaid is a county of abundance, overflowing with culture and art. The various Counts Kendrick have always been patrons of the arts, be it decorative scribe-work (or clever contract writing), painting, sculpture, song and dance. Afforded the luxury due to its location, the county has been able to foster cultural achievement without having to expend vast resources on security or food. (The plan for Enaid is to be in a temperate zone or lush mountain valley, preferably with direct access to a body of water of some kind, within the interior of The Haverlands. Obviously, once land selection has taken place, this could be somewhat altered.)
The main ideals of the county are to support artisans wherever possible, including all forms of decorative labor, be it in blacksmithing, leather working, or even gardening, in addition to the arts mentioned above. This does not mean, of course, that our doors are closed to any who wish to be a part of our county. Being within the Haverlands, there will be many opportunities for craftsmen and tradesmen of all sorts to benefit from stable, safe trade routes within the Duchy and the Kingdom at large.
The County of Enaid is certainly RP friendly, though it is not a requirement. As Count, I will endeavor to support as best I may any level of involvement the people of the county desire. And as others have said, should you feel as though Enaid is not entirely what you are seeking, the Kingdom of Ashland has many other fantastic Duchies and Counties, and chances are good you may find what you seek just over our border!
