Introduction

Welcome to our humble home, Nógrborg, which means Abundant City. This is a settlement within the county of Ásbrekka of the Rhynelands Duchy inside of the Kingdom of Vornair.

Not much is known about our area at this point, but our hope is to be within the Brudvir/Hrothi domain. We will be a peaceful community focused on agriculture (farming, hunting, gathering) and healing. Our duty is to provide the underlying support for our County and Kingdom. We hope to not only focus on our production value, but also on our own value. We will have a large Great Hall for gathering and travelers, a large Tavern with flowing ale and serving wenches, and an Inn with rooms for secure rest or conversations.

There is opportunity to move about the County also as Ásbrekka will be known as a cultural and entertainment hub. Large events will draw large crowds into the capital, Dafnaborg, which will be great for our merchants to peddle their wares and grow their fame in their chosen skill. Even our warriors will have the opportunity to show off their skills in the tournaments in the capital.

Vision

Our vision is to create a thriving and safe place where citizens can live and work how they please. We are the backbone of the system, without us nothing else would thrive. We work to provide for our Kingdom and County as well as to enjoy our time here in this world. Our bellies will always be full, our thirst will always be quenched, our families will always be happy, and we will live off the land and animals.

Vordr, the Guard - Vacant : Responsible for the safety and security of the entire settlement including patrols inside the city and outerlying areas, trains and recruits warriors, responsible for maintaining supplies for the guardsmen, responsible for monitoring the citizenship and enforcing the laws of the land, if a call-to-arms from our Count comes then this position will go to war.

Skuldarmadr, the Tax Collector - Vacant : Responsible for enforcing taxation laws by collecting and recording taxes from all citizens and businesses, reporting to the Mayor regularly, securing all taxes collected and delivering them to the County capital.

Seidr, the Shaman - Vacant : Responsible for gathering and harvesting medicinal supplies, learning and improving upon healing skillsets, training healers, healing the wounded, if a call-to-arms from our Count comes then this position will go to war.

At this time, we don’t know specifically what other resources will be at our disposal until launch, so this is subject to change.

Requirements

All citizens must be able to use the County’s Discord (voice not required, text chat is fine). Using the Duchy and Kingdom Discords are optional.
