Nice to show your support, but I need a reason better than, "She's a woman."

For the other 21 monarchs all it required was "He's got money." Is that really a better argument? Isn't 1 out of 22 monarchies being governed by a woman reason enough when the other 21 weren't elected based on any system of merit?

The difference, Selune, is that the rest of the community had no say in who the other 21 monarchs were. "He's got money" wasn't an argument in those cases, so much as a statement of fact.

I am all for diversity, however not simply for the sake of diversity itself. For me and many others, the judgement on this last monarch has very much become a matter of systems of merit, and not based on gender, ethnicity, nationality, or other diversity benchmarks.
