This is a tavern and what goes better with your ale then a story. This is a story of The iron King. A man so obsessed with iron, that he made the currency of his city the iron crown. The iron crown is a wrought iron coin with a crown on both sides. What makes this particular currency valuable and wanted was that the iron crown was the only currency used in his city. People would be outside of his city the iron city trying to trade their silver coins and gold coins for iron crown. The iron king is obsessed with what iron could create. With iron he would study various smelting methods and alloy combinations until eventually he created the ultimate steel. The steel he created was extremelly strong and could be so sharp, that an inexperienced swordsman could slice and iron helmet in half with little to no effort. With this steel being so strong and the weapons he created being so sharp, the weapons and armor he made were worth a fortune. The steel of the iron king is what made his city so powerful and wealthy that lords and kings would come to his city to try and buy for his armies. The Iron King one day purchased a new metal. His expectations of that metal were low and when he use his process for steel on the new metal, It was far lighter yet far stronger than his strongest of steel. He would have his guards and generals wear the armor, he dubbed the armor pigsteel although it had no real iron in it. The iron king was involved in many wars as he created the greatest euipment, and eventually the gods became furious. The gods sank his city as punishment for his meddling in the balance. His siding with certain kingdoms made certain races go almost extinct at one point which was upsetting the natural balance of the world. The iron kings knowledge was long lost and his weapons and armor were something he only aloud the most reputable people to wear. He would only sell the powerful steels in small amounts such as 100 swords and 100 spears. The pigsteel was lost to all and the weapons and armor are hailed as artifacts of great power. That was so long ago who knows where these artifacts can be found. The moral of the story, Iron is an amazing metal.
