Keepers of the Land
County: Shade
Duchy: Caeruleum
Kingdom: Bordweall
Server: Luna
For generations, House Flora has strived to keep the ecosystem thriving; recognizing that everyone, from king to peasant, is effected by the health of the land.
What started out as a family trying to ensure the safety of nearby organisms, has grown into an organized guild.
For each role in the guild, there is the option to be a Keeper of the Land or an Observer. A Keeper of the Land may receive tasks based on their role, whereas an Observer is merely asked to inform the Keepers of the health / status of the ecosystem they encounter.
While a Keeper may have more responsibilities, they are also paid better.
Below are a list of possible roles:
The Surveyor:
A Surveyor keeps an eye on local plant and wildlife, reporting back using a form provided, and is paid per a report, up to twice a month per an area. A Keeper in this position may be asked to survey other areas nearby, whereas an Observer is simply asked to report what they see.
The Conserver:
The Conservers are tasked with breeding and preserving rare or endangered species. A Keeper may receive some of the rarer species to help, where as an Observer may receive some of the hardier ones to maintain on the side. Both are paid whenever they increase the population of a species on the Rare/Endangered chart.
The Explorer:
The Explorer is one who ventures beyond the safety of the town to catalog species and bring rare species to a Flora or Fauna Specialist. Any new or rare species and reports of unreported areas are paid.
The Tinkerer:
The Tinkerer is in charge of discovering why a plant or animal matters. While House Flora believes all species are valuable, it is also recognized that politicians often want more reason than that. A Tinkerer might be an Alchemist, a Trainer, or a Farmer, etc. Upon discovering a new property of a species, they will be paid.
Specialists:
Specialists are essentially the admins of a given area. They make decisions on the local level and make sure that reports are sent and Keepers and Observers are paid for their work.
