The Guild of Heroes

DISBANDED

The Guild of Heroes is a contract based mercenary guild of “Lawful Good” characteristics. We won’t take contracts that purposely break the law or diminish our character in any way. We aim to follow the story in whatever manner it presents itself. To do this, we aim to be in all nations as a neutral entity. We help keep the peace, we protect ourselves, and we do good by our neighbors. It is our ambition to be the best examples of what Elyria has to offer. We want to find out what lies beyond the horizon. We want to find treasure hidden away in forgotten ruins. We want to slay the fearsome beast that keeps us up at night. We want to become heroes. That is what this guild is about.

  • The Council -

The Council makes up the leadership of the Guild of Heroes. Each plays a vital part in leading the guild and keeping this ship afloat.

The Chronicler: Amicus Mourchaux

The Chronicler records the stories of heroes present and past. From valorous feats and daring rescues to unshakable resolve and noble sacrifice. It is the duty of the Chronicler to not only chronicle the deeds of heroes today, but also find the stories lost to the past. Will your story be added to the Hall of Heroes?

The Commander: Rose Maiden

The Commander is the spear that plunges into the heart of malice. She leads our expeditions, our forces, our resolve. It is she that strikes from the heavens and shatters our enemies. Do you have the strength to stand by her side or will you buckle under the weight of her war cry!?

The Ambassador: Luranthe, The Duck

The Ambassador is our voice to the dignified and shrewd. This cunning diplomat must be astute and quick, capable of being both tender and hard. With grace and charm, The Ambassador dances with dynasties and dines with nobles to further our cause, proving that not all heroes wear the same armor.

  • Our Business -

Although we surely have no trouble braving the world, it is better to be paid for it. Thus, contracts.

Does your caravan need bodyguards? Do you need bandits removed from the area, but your soldiers are too caught up in a war? Vermin exterminated? Beasts slain? Want to map out a piece of land, but need protection? Do you require temporary hold protection? Is the peteroquin becoming too much of an issue?

We Got You!

We do NOT however, take contracts that involve us in war, crime, or personal degradation.

Of course, contracts are not the only way of making money. From our guildhalls, we aim to sell our goods, whatever they may be. The kind of merchandise depends on the location and who is manning it.

And Naturally, we wouldn’t be good explorers if we didn’t look for treasure, relics, and artifacts.

We plan to open guildhalls in a few nations willing to bring in the traffic and trade.

  • Our Mission -

Our Mission is follow the story in whatever way it presents itself. To become heroes and have our stories etched into the foundation of Elyria. For Fortune, For Glory, For Honor.

This does sound interesting, I joined another mercenary guild a while back but they have become stagnant. Only downfall is my character is not trying to be a Hero, in short he is just trying to survive. If he makes comrades he will do right by them, enemies not so much. But I am curious how will you keep on the lawful good side when bodyguards or mercs at times must remain neutral. I imagine guarding a noble who seems nice but ends up with twisted tastes, or maybe you are on escort duty and you see someone evil doing dastardly deeds to the weak, do you leave your duty and save them, or ignore what you witness to keep true to your task? -Nythic

Good questions, my friend. We aim to be heroes! And I fully expect a Guild of Heroes to rush in and save the wounded, the harassed, and the tormented. Whoever we are working for will simply have to understand that they are hiring Heroes! Not just mercenaries. And we will act accordingly or fail to be carved into the Akashic Records.

As for your mercenary group you were in, do not give up hope. Time will bring change, and change will bring honor!
